Update, 13 October 6.51am:
We have now located the young man we wished to trace and would like to thank everyone for their help with our appeal.
We are urgently trying to trace a young man who was involved in a collision with a car along the A46 at around 4.30pm tonight (12 October).
We have reason to believe that he may have suffered an injury, but may not have sought medical assistance, and we are concerned for his welfare.
Family members who are with him are unaware of the seriousness of the incident, and officers do not have personal details to make contact directly.
He had been travelling on the number 12 bus from Lincoln Bus Station, which left at 4.05pm. It is reported that he had left the bus near the bend on the A46 just before the Horncastle Lane jnunction on the A46 heading north before being involved in a collision with a car.
Witnesses reported seeing him on the ground and it is believed he may have been unconscious for a short time before got back up and reboarded the bus. He got off near the vets in the village and was last seen walking down Roselea Avenue.
He is described as white, approximately 17 years old with strawberry blonde hair, around 5ft 11 inches tall with a large build. He was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, black vans with white detail. He had a Lincoln College lanyard on, and a bag, coat and was wearing headphones.
We believe he may live in the Welton area, and may attend Lincoln College.
We received a separate report from the driver of the vehicle which collided with the young man.
