We are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a lorry and a car which has left a woman in her 80s in a critical condition.
We were called to reports of the collision at the A15 around half a mile north of Scampton at 2.58pm yesterday (10 November).
Emergency responders from Lincolnshire Police, EMAS, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
The silver Peugeot 308 involved in the collision had been travelling from the Lincoln direction while the white HGV was coming from the Hemswell Cliff direction before they collided. We are keen to hear from any drivers which may have dashcam footage of either vehicle prior to the collision which could help us with our enquiries.
We would also been keen to speak with anyone we have not yet spoken with who witnessed the incident, or saw either vehicle before the collision.
The driver of the Peugeot received emergency medical assistance at the scene before being airlifted to hospital where she remains in a critical condition. Her next of kin have been made aware. There were no other injuries reported in the incident.
The road was closed until late yesterday evening while initial investigations were carried out and the road cleared.
