Residents across Lincolnshire are being invited to take part in a survey to understand how prepared they are for emergencies.

The Lincolnshire Resilience Forum (LRF) is running a survey to find out what the current levels of public awareness of resilience is in case of an emergency.

The LRF is a multi-agency partnership made up of representatives from local public services, including the emergency services, local authorities, the NHS, the Environment Agency and many more. You may have heard of the partnership through the recent COVID-19 response and the support it gave to the communities throughout the County.

The LRFs aim to plan and prepare for localised incidents and major emergencies. They work to identify potential risks and produce emergency plans to either prevent or mitigate the impact of any incident on their local communities.

Ian Reed, Head of Emergency Planning and Business Continuity at the County Council is urging as many people as possible to complete the survey. He said: “We are keen to engage with as many people in Lincolnshire as possible during the survey.”

“The responses will help us to be inclusive with our community engagement in county ensuring our emergency planning activities cover a broad cross section of society.  This will allow us to better prepare for major incidents or emergencies in the future and develop and promote a recognised trusted source of information for communities.”

The survey opens on 4 April 2022 and will be open for 8 weeks, closing at midnight on Friday 27th May 2022.

The survey is estimated to take approximately seven minutes to complete.  There are 17 questions in total but how many you answer will depend on your answers to each question.

The result of this survey will be made available to the public and the results will be used to inform a promotional campaign.
