Officers from the Lincoln Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) are hosting a new drop-in-style surgery for their community to talk directly to them about issues or concerns, or simply to find out more about the work we do to keep their area safe.
The drop in session will be held between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday 21 June at Bridge Church in Portland Street. The event is informal with no presentations or structured sessions, so you can come by at any time.
The Lincoln NPTs are the policing teams dedicated to the whole of the city centre and its surrounding areas within the city of Lincoln boundary. During the evening the local Inspectors and sergeants from the different districts will be on hand for anyone who wants to meet the local team to pop in and see them. Visitors will be able to speak with the team which looks after their local area; for example those from Birchwood would head to the desk staffed with those officers.
Inspector Ian Richardson who looks after the NPTs in the north of the city, said: "Our ambition is to provide a neighbourhood policing service which makes us proud, and keeps you safe in your community. We approach policing our neighbourhoods through pro-active problem-solving, and it’s not something we do on our own; the communities we serve form a huge part of our decision-making, and this is why we’ve set up this drop-in session. We want to provide the opportunity for you to speak to us directly about your area, let us know about concerns, or indeed what you’re happy with.”
