We have charged two people in connection with the protest which took place at Goldholme Quarry, Ancaster on Monday.
Ella Barlow, 20, of Norton Road, Norton in Kent, has been charged with obstructing or disrupting a person engaged in a lawful activity.
Kat Chan, 20, of Hamilton Hill Gardens, Glasgow, has been charged with the same offence.
Both have been released on bail to appear at Boston Magistrates’ Court on 7 September.
The protestors have now left the site.
The road was closed for about 30 minutes while officers dealt with the incident and those protesting were dispersed by around 11.50am.
Two women, both 20-years-old, who had chained themselves to a concrete-filled tube have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
They remain in police custody. Officers are remaining in the local area today.
We are on scene at Goldholme Stone quarry in Sleaford Road, Ancaster following reports of a protest by animal rights activists.
The protesters are reported to have arrived at the location at 4.35am this morning, and are currently behaving in a peaceful manner.
We have a positive obligation to facilitate peaceful protest and officers will remain on the scene until the protest has concluded.
