Update, 11.30pm: Our officers, with colleagues from the fire service, have conducted extensive searches around the pumping station at Hobhole Bank.
Our drone team and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue’s water search team were employed during the search, assisted by the National Police Air Service helicopter. We have found no sign of any member of the public experiencing difficulties in the mud/marsh area, or in distress.
While our search has now concluded, if you do have information then please contact us on 101, quoting Incident 416 of 17 April.
Original release: We are currently in the area of the pumping station at Hobhole Bank, Fishtoft, near Boston.
This follows a report, made to us at around 8.53pm today (17 April), that a member of the public may have got into difficulties in the mud at the marsh area.
We are urgently appealing to anyone who did run into problems in this area – but who is now out and safe – to contact us, to that we can resolve the search operation.
