We are appealing for information regarding recent arson attacks
Three properties on Lindum Terrace in Lincoln have recently been subject to arson attacks. The houses are very large old buildings which have been abandoned for several years. They are targeted by youths who gain access to the buildings. Two of the fires have been started after entry has been forced into the properties. The sites of the properties are completely enclosed by walls and gates that trespasses must climb over to enter the site.
We are appealing for anyone who has information or has witnessed anything suspicious in the area to get in touch.
The first arson offence happened between 1pm to 2pm on Thursday 23 September. Police and Fire and Rescue were called just before 2.50 to a report of a fire at 12 Lindum Terrace. The fire investigation has found fires were set in multiple place indicating deliberate ignition.
A second incident of arson happened between 10.30pm and midnight on Sunday 26 October at both number 10 and 11 Lindum terrace.
We received a third call late on Monday 27 September around 11pm. Further fires have been set at the rear of 10 and 11 Lindum Terrace.
We would like to hear from you if you have any information that could assist the inquiry. There are a number of ways you can report:
