We are appealing for witnesses following a collision involving two cars and a lorry on the A46 at Thorpe on the Hill yesterday (Friday 5th November.)
A white Scania lorry, a silver Ford Focus, and a grey Volkswagen Tiguan collided on the northbound carriageway of the A46, just past the Pennells roundabout, at 6.59pm last night.
The collision has left a 26-year-old woman and a 14-year-old girl, who were both passengers in the same car, with life changing injuries. The drivers of both cars suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the lorry has not been injured.
The road was closed until just before 4.30am this morning while officers completed initial enquiries, and the investigation is ongoing.
We believe that there will have been a number of motorists who will have seen this collision, or seen the vehicles driving prior to the incident, and we would like to hear from them. We are particularly keen to see any dashcam footage.
