Witness appeal: Spalding and Boston incidents

We are appealing for witnesses to two incidents in which men in cars have asked women to get in to their vehicles.

Both incidents happened yesterday (Monday, 7th September).

At around 2pm, a woman was approached on Halmergate, Spalding by an Asian male driving a white car, who asked her to get into the vehicle.

Fifty minutes later, another woman was approached on Tytton Lane West, Boston, by a white male in a grey car, who made the same request.

Neither woman entered the vehicles and there was no attempt to physically take hold of them, but clearly these are both concerning incidents.

If anyone has information there are a number of ways you can get in touch:

  • Call 101, quoting Incident 219 (Spalding) or Incident 225 (Boston) of 7th September;
  • Email force.control@lincs.pnn.police.uk putting the Incident number and date in the Subject line;
  • Call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
