Assault on emergency workers, Wainfleet

Update, July 8 

A third man has been arrested on suspicion of assault on emergency workers following the incident in Wainfleet. 

All three men, aged 20, 20 and a 22, from the Skegness area, have all been released on bail and investigations are ongoing.

Orignal release: 

Two men have been arrested in connection with assaulting police officers.

Three of our officers were assaulted in Market Place, Wainfleet, just after 5.35pm today, Monday 6 July.

More officers were deployed and the two suspects were arrested. They remain in custody and will be questioned in due course.

We will release an update when one is available.
