Stabbing in Tunnard Street, Boston

Update, 20 November:

Two men have been charged following an incident in Tunnard Street, Boston, in the early hours of 18 November.

Firearms officers were deployed to the road and found that a 24-year-old man had sustained a serious stab wound to his abdomen. He remains in hospital.

Three men were arrested, and two have since been charged:

  • Eduard Atanansov, 26, of Tunnard Street, Boston, has been charged with wounding with intent;
  • Andrejs Nikitins, 44, also of Tunnard Street, Boston, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

Both were due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court, this morning.

A 26-year-old man who had also been arrested following the incident has been released and will face no further action.

Update, 19 November:

The victim remains in hospital and his condition is stable and not believed to be life-threatening. Those arrested remain in custody and officers are still in Tunnard Street investigating the circumstances of this incident. Please report any information to the police if you have not done so already.

Officers were call to Tunnard Street in Boston at 12.10am this morning following reports of a fight involving a number of people.

Firearms officers were deployed and found that a 24-year old man had sustained a serious stab wound to his abdomen.

A 26-year old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and house to house inquiries have been taking place. Officers remain in the Red Lion Street and Tunnard Street areas today.

A 25-year-old man and a 44-year-old man have also been arrested on suspicion of affray.

Detective Inspector Gail Hurley says:

"This was an isolated incident in which the people involved were known to each other.

“We are working hard to establish the circumstances of what has happened and information from local residents will be extremely valuable to our inquiries. Please get in touch if you saw what happened or captured any footage or images of the altercation taking place.

"If you don’t wish to speak with the police, Crimestoppers guarantee that you can you give information and remain completely anonymous.”
