Update 11am on October 10th:
A 15-year-old girl has died following a collision in Station Road, North Hykeham.
At 5.10pm on October 9th we received a report of a collision involving a lorry and two teenagers who were on a bike.
The girl was pronounced dead at the scene and the boy, 14, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, not believed to be life threatening.
Inspector Ian Richardson said: “This devastating incident has not only had a major impact on the families of these teenagers but it has shocked the community. It has been difficult for everyone involved and our thoughts are with the families.
“We would ask people not to speculate while investigations continue. If anyone witnessed this incident they can contact us on 101.”
We were called to a serious collision in Station Road, North Hykeham, at 5.10pm on Wednesday 9th October.
The collision involved a lorry and a cyclist. Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The road has been closed in both directions and remains closed as of 8.55pm.
