Sadly, the cyclist, a 43-year-old man, has died. We are once again asking for anyone who was in the area before or about 5:30pm yesterday (7 January) at the A607 at Leadenham near Troops garage. Anyone who saw the black BMW or the cyclist before the collision or saw the collision itself is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 339 of 7th. The road re-opened at 11pm last night.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and has been released under investigation.
Emergency services were called to the A607 at Leadenham near Troops garage about 1730 yesterday (Monday 7th January) where a black BMW car and a cyclist had been in collision. The cyclist was seriously injured and taken to Queen's Medical Centre at Nottingham for treatment. The road was re-opened about 2300. We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area before or about 5.30pm last evening and saw either the black BMW or the cyclist before the collision or saw the collision itself to contact 101 quoting incident 339 of 7th. There are no further details at this stage but we hope to release more later.
