Update, 9.10am, November 8: We can now confirm that the two people in the private ambulance involved in this collision have died. The driver was a 60-year-old man from the Sleaford area and the patient was an 84-year-old woman from Skegness.
Original release: We are appealing for witnesses to a collision on the A16 this afternoon (November 7).
An HGV and private ambulance collided on the road between Sibsey and Boston, near Hurn Road and the Gulf petrol station, at around 1.30pm.
Two people, the male driver and female passenger in the private ambulance, sustained serious injuries.
