Notice of misconduct hearing for PC Cookson

A misconduct hearing is to be held between 5 – 7 October for PC Andrew Cookson.  

It is alleged that the officer breached the following standards of professional behaviour:

• Discreditable Conduct
• Honesty and Integrity

It is alleged that on 3 January 2024, the officer attended a property that was the subject of a police investigation following the discovery of cannabis cultivation at the address. It is alleged that the officer acted dishonestly by removing items from the property and lacked integrity in seeking to conceal both the removal of those items and/or the items themselves.

The conduct, if proved, amounts to gross misconduct.

PC Cookson is based at Lincoln.
