2. Searches carried out where the Person Classification states “Offender” and where there is more than one occurrence number connected to the Person Nominal ID. A Repeat Offender is calculated where there is more than one offence in separate months. I.e., if there are 2 offences, they must be in two separate months, if there are in the same month they will not be included. There were 12 “repeat offenders” between 2020/2021 and 2021/2022. To separate these into the financial years there are 3 less as the repeat occurrences occurred over the two financial years NOT within each year.
2020/2021 – 5
2021/2022 – 4
3. Q3 filters for Crime Tree Lv2 “Violence Against the Person” offences.

2021/2022 – 37
4. Q4 filters for all occurrences where the local qualifier of “Cyber enabled” was linked. Please note – this heavily relies on the officer linking this local qualifier to the occurrence and there may be some occurrences where this is not done.
2020/2021 – 1
2021/2022 – 2
Q5&6 were provided with assistance from the Head of Criminal Justice with the below commentary.
“The data [for referral to CPS] isn’t specifically stored separately anywhere that I am aware of, the closest figure we could get is for filed occurrences with an outcome of ‘1 charged’ or with an outcome of ‘15 CPS – named suspect, victim supports but evidential difficulties’ as these would show occurrences that CPS have rejected.”
5. 2020/2021 – 8
2021/2022 – 0
6. 2020/2021 – 0
2021/2022 – 0
Please also be aware that Police forces in the United Kingdom are routinely required to provide crime statistics to government bodies and the recording criteria is set nationally. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the crime data. It should be noted that for these reasons this force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
