Programme details

Following the reduction of the pandemic restrictions Lincolnshire Mini Police can relaunch in the new academic year in September 2021. You will be allocated a PCSO who will be your consistent facilitator throughout your programme. All facilitators will work with your school to ensure that all guidance and measures you have in place are adhered to.

All schools should have received communication from the coordination team prior to the summer break however if you have not had contact or would like further clarification please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the youth.engagement@lincs.police.uk email address.

Throughout the next year one of our youth engagement team will be with you in school while your PCSO delivers a session, the purpose of this is to quality assure product that is being delivered across the county, gain feedback from teachers on the delivery and benefit for the school and finally and most importantly receive feedback from the children.

The main change of the refresh of the programme is that any child in your school can be a mini police officer, the nominations process of old have been replaced by a simple application process to allow all to achieve. This has been reflected in the costs associated to the programme and a reduction in the uniform. Any uniform that the school has can still be used however moving forward this will be much simpler with a cost per child of £7.25. We also have new Mini Police banners available at £15 per banner.
