Lincolnshire lies in the East Midlands bordering Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and for just 19 metres – Northamptonshire!
As a Police Force, we cover one of the largest geographical regions in the country, despite being one of the smallest forces in the country in terms of officer strength. As a county with a real mix of rural, coastal and urban communities, the nature of policing in this county is extremely varied, as such we need a number of talented and dedicated individuals to support us in serving our communities.
Our mission is to empower and involve communities working to prevent and reduce harm.
For over a hundred and fifty years, we have policed Lincolnshire, preserving the rule of law; keeping the public peace; intervening where harm takes place in people’s private lives; and increasingly having a role in the safety of the digital world.
Lincolnshire Police also continues to work together with a variety of other agencies including Social Services, the Crown Prosecution Service, County and District Councils, other Police Forces, the Highways Agency, G4S and the Probation Service to name just a few.
We are totally committed to making Lincolnshire an even safer and better place to live, work and visit.
