Incident 47 of 20th July 2011
This single vehicle collision took place at about 07:25am this morning (20/07/11) on Riseholme Lane, Riseholme, Lincoln. A silver Vauxhall Corsa left the road and collided with a tree.
The local woman driver was the sole occupant of the car. The driver was freed from the vehicle by the Fire and Rescue Service and taken to Lincoln County hospital. Sadly the woman has since been certified as deceased at the hospital. Her husband is aware of the situation. We are in the process of tracing and informing other relatives and friends.
The investigating officers are asking for a witness appeal and would like anyone who saw the collision or who may have seen the car on the road prior to the collision to contact them via the collision witness hotline 01522 558855
