Police are urging bikers not to leave their scooters and motorbikes unlocked in gardens.
The warning comes after two thefts in the city. Thieves stole a black RMR 125 Superbyke from the front of a house in Elder Street, Lincoln, between 4am and 6.30am on Friday. A blue Kymco scooter was also taken from outside a house in Derby Street, Lincoln, just before 1am on Saturday morning. This vehicle was later recovered.
Insp Mark Garthwaite said: “These are relatively high value vehicles and we are seeing plenty of examples where they are being left unlocked in front gardens. We would urge people to at least try and secure vehicles when they are left unattended like this.”
