Incident 9 of 15th September 2012
Lincolnshire Police continue to investigate the crash on the A151 Bourne Road, Spalding. We are now able to name the deceased cyclist, he was Timothy OSBORN aged 27 of Bourne Road, Pode Hole.
Mr OSBORN was the 24th person to die on the roads of Lincolnshire in 2012.
Sergeant Chris Dennett is still appealing for information concerning the crash.
Chris is keen to speak to the driver of a, possibly silver coloured, transit style van which may have been a Renault Trafic model, a similar style Vauxhall Vivaro or a similar style Nissan Primastar which may have been in the area (Vans of these makes/models are built in the same factories and are similar in appearance).

Press Release No 1 - Fatal Non-stop Road Traffic Collision - A151 Bourne Road, Spalding - Incident 9 of 15th September 2012
This incident first came to the notice of the Lincolnshire Police via the Ambulance Service at 00:15am today, Saturday 15th September 2012.
The family of a 27-year-old man from the Pode Hole area became concerned when he failed to return from work at his normal time on his bicycle. They set off to search along his usual route and found him seriously injured at the side of the A151 on Bourne Road, Spalding.
The injured man had been involved in a collision with a vehicle. The driver had either failed to stop or driven away from the scene without reporting the matter.
Sadly the cyclist was certified as deceased at the scene.
It is thought that the collision occurred sometime after 9:00pm on Friday 14th September 2012. Information is sought in relation to any vehicle which appears to have sustained unexplained front or side impact damage on the evening of Friday 14th September. We would also appeal for the driver, any passenger in the vehicle or anyone with any information to come forward.
The road is presently closed to allow for a forensic examination of the scene to be completed. Drivers are asked to comply with the local diversions.
