Incident 220 of 14th September 2012
Lincolnshire Police were told about this fire by the Fire and Rescue Service at 1:37pm today (14/9/12). It is a fire at a scrap yard. The Fire and Rescue Service are dealing with the incident and the Ambulance Service are also present at the scene. At this time (3:30pm) it doesn't appear that anyone has been injured. The cause of the fire has yet to be established.
The police involvement at this stage is solely in assisting with the road closures and diversions which have been set up in the vicinity. It is an area to avoid for motorists and other members of the public for the next couple of hours at least.
