Humberside Police Press Release

Detectives in Humberside Police are appealing for help in locating three men who were travelling in a black coloured vehicle, close to Claxby Station, Caistor in the early hours of Saturday 21 April 2012.

An altercation had taken place between a 30 year old woman and a 36 year old man, who were in a silver coloured Volkswagen which was situated at Claxby Station, Caistor.

After a short time, the woman was removed from the vehicle and the man drove away leaving her on her own at Claxby Station.

The woman managed to attract the attention of a passing black vehicle, possibly a new style Peugeot, in an attempt to get a lift back to Grimsby. It is thought the woman did not enter the vehicle as the man in the silver Volkswagen returned and the woman travelled back to Grimsby with him.

A 36 year old man was arrested following the incident. He was questioned by police at Grimsby Police Station and has been released on bail to a date in May pending further enquiries.

Detectives are trying to locate the three men who were travelling in the black coloured vehicle in the direction of Grimsby as they may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The three men, or anyone who may have information in connection with the incident is asked to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting log 345 of 21 April or call Crimestoppers tel 0800 555 111.
