Police were called to the airfield opposite the Motorplex building in Manby at 11am on Monday morning after a subcontractor working for Anglian Water discovered two wartime bomb devices.
The area was cordoned off and police remained at the scene until experts from the MOD Explosive Ordnance Disposal team arrived on scene to carry out a controlled explosion of the devices. This took place at approx 8.20am this morning (Tuesday).
