David Buckley has been found safe and well. It would appear that this follows a call from a member of the public which came as a result of an ITV appeal broadcast last night (Wednesday). This is an excellent example of how the media can help in such cases and Lincolnshire Police would like to thank ITV, and all our media contacts, for their ongoing assistance.
24/03/2011 Update - Incident 182 of 21 March 2011
Police remain concerned for the safety of 49-year-old David Buckley from Aisby, Grantham. Mr Buckley has not been seen since the 16 March 2011 and was reported missing by a friend on Monday 21 March 2011.
Intelligence suggests that David Buckley might have taken a train from Sleaford to Bradford airport and officers are requesting any members of the public who might have seen Mr Buckley in those locations to come forward.
Anyone with any information or who has seen Mr Buckley within the last week should contact Grantham Police Station, quoting the incident number, via 0300 111 0300 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
23/03/2011 - Incident 182 of 21 March 2011
Police are concerned for the welfare of a 49-year old man, David Buckley, who was reported missing on Monday 21 of March.
Mr Buckley lives in Aisby, Grantham but is understood to spend much of his time in Sleaford. He is know to frequent Sleaford town centre and visits the bookmakers while he is there. He travels from Grantham on his red 100cc motorcycle which he leaves parked on London Road.
There is currently no description of what he is wearing.
DI Dave Swan said of the incident:
"We are concerned for the safety of David Buckley, who is a creature of habit and sticks to a regular routine particularly when visiting Sleaford. He has deviated from his normal pattern and this appears to be very out of character, we would like to speak to anyone who has seen David in Sleaford or Grantham over the last week."
