Burglary - Tudor Road, Lincoln - Incident 401 of 22 July 2010

Police are appealing for information following a burglary which occurred at a property in Tudor Road, Lincoln some time between about 8am and 5.45pm on Thursday 22 July.  The offender has gained access to the garden and leaned in through an open window and taken a laptop computer and a child's laptop.  Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300 quoting incident number 401 of 22 July 2010.  Alternatively, call the charity Crimestoppers on anonymously on 0800 555111.

Theft of Vehicle - Great North Terrace, Lincoln - Incident 305 of 22 July 2010

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a lorry from a yard in Great North Terrace, Lincoln.  The lorry is believed to have been stolen some time after 7pm on Tuesday 20 July.  A container at the yard was also broken into, and a generator and cables stolen.  Also stolen from the yard were a recovery tow bar, magnet drills and a gas cutting torch.  The stolen lorry was a white and red Mercedes breakdown lorry, registration number D941 GYX.  Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area of Great North Terrace between Tuesday 20 July and Thursday 22 July, or who has seen the lorry being driven or stored after this time, is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300 quoting incident number 305 of 22 July 2010.  Alternatively, call the charity Crimestoppers on anonymously on 0800 555111.

Burglary - Merlin Road, Brookenby, Binbrook, Market Rasen - Incident 380 of 22 July 2010

This burglary occurred at a property in Merlin Road, Brookenby some time between 8pm on Wednesday 21 July and 6.30pm on Thursday 22 July.  Entry was gained via a front facing top window.  An orange tool bag containing hand and electric tools, along with a 10 litre container of white paint was stolen.  The offender(s) left via the back door.  Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in Merlin Road between Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 July is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police quoting incident number 380 of 22 July 2010.  Alternatively, call the charity Crimestoppers on anonymously on 0800 555111.

Serious Road Collision - A156 between Fenton and Torksey - Incident 254 of 24th July 2010

This collision was reported at about 1:35pm on Saturday 24th July. A black Subaru Impreza was involved in a collision with a red MGB GT. The driver of the Subaru was aged 24 and comes from Scunthorpe. He sustained a head injury for which he was detained in Lincoln county Hospital overnight for  observation. The passenger from the Subaru, a 24-year-old Scunthorpe man sustained a broken leg. The driver and passenger in the MGB are from Dunston. The male driver is 36 and suffered only minor injuries. The woman passenger aged 33 suffered serious injuries to her lower body and is detained in intensive care at Lincoln County Hospital.

Disorder - Lincoln City v Celtic Football Match - Incident 113 of 24th July 2010

This is a general summary of the problems encountered with the policing of before during and after the match. There were 20 arrests, 12 locals and eight visitors. Three Fixed Penalty Notices were issued for public disorder offences.

Pre-match - A large number of Celtic fans arrived in the city. There were a number of problems in various location including outside the Golden Cross on the High Street, where a smoke grenade was discharged. An assault at the Community Day where two Celtic supporters were fighting each other and a fight in the away section within the ground.

During the match - A number of flares and smoke canisters were discharged in the stadium. One girl in the away section was injured by a flare. There was also further problems outside the Golden Cross where five of the arrests were made. Two of those arrested were away supporters and they were charged with public order offences.

Post Match - There were a number of fights on the lower end of the High Street where rival supporters clashed. Further arrests were made on the High Street in the vicinity of The Millers Arms and Ritz Phase.

Five people where taken to hospital including the girl injured by the flare. All were released after treatment.

Of the 20 people who were arrested four were charged with public order offences (See below) whilst the remainer were released on police bail to return to the police station at a later date after further police enquiries have been caried out.

  1. Stuart STANLEY  32 years of age, from Calderbrace Avenue, Glasgow. Charged with Affray - Section 3 Public Order Act (POA) and remanded in custody appearing LDMC 26/7.
  2. Adam POLLOCK  24 years of age, from Blackstone Crescent, Glasgow. Charged with Affray - Section 3 POA and remanded in custody appearing LDMC 26/7.
  3. Jason DUMPHREYS  40 years of age from Witham St Hughs, Lincoln. Charged with Section 5 POA and bailed to LDMC 10:00am - 10/08/10
  4. Benjamin MOLE  24 years of age, from Eastgate, BASSINGHAM. Charged with Section 4 and bailed to LDMC 10:00am - 13/08/10.

Boston Neighbourhood Policing Area

JCB Theft, White Horse Lane, Boston - Incident 465 of 22 July 2010

Police are appealing for information about the theft of a yellow JCB from a building site on White Horse Lane in Boston. The offenders removed the vehicle shortly before 10pm on Wednesday night and abandoned it a few minutes later on the Eastbound carriageway of John Adams Way.  Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a small silver car in the area at the time.

Moped Theft, West Street, Boston - Incident 475 of 22 July 2010

Police are appealing for witnesses to the theft of a moped in Boston.  The blue Baotian moped, registration AE57 FSJ, was parked in the car park behind the cinema on West Street on Wednesday 22 July and was stolen at some time between 7.50pm and 10pm.

Skegness Neighbourhood Policing Area

Burglary, Grand Parade, Skegness - Incident 81 of 22 July 2010

Police are appealing for information after a kiosk was broken into on Grand Parade, Skegness, overnight between 21 and 22 July.  The offenders gained entry by forcing the shutters and the rear door and stole an amount of cash and a set of keys.

Burglary, Roman Bank, Skegness - Incident 267 of 22 July 2010

This incident occurred between Tuesday 20 July and Thursday 22 July at a bar on Roman Bank in Skegness.  The offenders forced entry to the premises, that is currently not trading, by tampering with a lock on the rear door.  The entire contents of the property was stolen including furniture and electrical equipment and it is assumed that the burglars would have needed a large van or lorry to take all the items away.

Burglary, Fairfield Industrial Estate, Belvoir Court, Louth - Incident 76 of 23 July 2010

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary that occurred at a business premises in Belvoir Court on the Fairfield Industrial Estate in Louth overnight between 22 and 23 July.  The offenders gained entry by smashing a window and stole a computer.  Anyone with information should contact Louth Police Station on 0300 111 0300 quoting the above incident number or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Burglary, Wainfleet - Incident 48 of 20 July - 2 People CHARGED

Stephen James McArthur, age 18, of Queens Estate in Wainfleet and a 17 year old man from Wainfleet have appeared in court charged with this burglary.  The 17 year-old was remanded in custody and McArthur has been released on bail to reappear before Skegness Magistrates in August.
