Roger Bannister
Roger Bannister joined Lincolnshire Police in 1988 after working in retail management in London and after studying at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Gainsborough. Roger has served in both uniform and detective roles and at every main station in the county. As a Detective Superintendent and later Head of CID, Roger was a senior investigating officer for major crime including kidnap and terrorism. He has led a number of murder investigations across the county as well as a four year long global child protection enquiry. Roger is a family man with twin boys living in south Lincolnshire village. In his limited spare time he enjoys his greater passion than talent in climbing, mountaineering, skiing, shooting and anything else connected with high places and the cold, or preferably both together.
